The state government of São Paulo, in partnership with City Hall, will distribute 2 million masks in poorly-urbanized areas of the state. These masks will be manufactured by 740 low-income dressmakers and will cost BRL 2.5 million — to be paid by banks Itaú, Bradesco, and Santander. Three thousand meals will also be distributed per day as of April 30. The food will be made by 300 cooks who will be hired in the next few days by the city of São Paulo. The project will be maintained for the next two months, budgeted at BRL 1.7 million.
