Did Venezuela order a gruesome political killing in Chile?
The kidnapping and death of Ronald Ojeda, a former member of the Venezuelan military exiled in Chile, could be an international scandal of significant proportions. Mr. Ojeda’s dismembered body was found hidden inside a suitcase and buried under cement in Santiago — after a seemingly professionally trained group of criminals snatched him from his apartment.
👉 Why it matters. The possibility of the Venezuelan government having ordered a high-profile assassination in another country could be a shock for Latin American politics.
Big logistics. Mr. Ojeda was kidnapped by four heavily armed men wearing uniforms from Chile’s Investigative Police (PDI). They drove a car with a cloned license plate, later abandoned in a public camera blind spot. Security experts
