According to the latest figures released by Brazil’s Health Ministry, the country recorded another 807 new deaths over the past 24 hours, as well as another 11,687 cases. In recent months, daily totals announced on Mondays have been consistently below average, due to the increased difficulty in registering cases and casualties on the weekend. However, today’s daily new deaths were higher than yesterday’s total, suggesting we are in for another deadly week.

Nine weeks after Brazil hit the 100-confirmed cases mark, the country’s Covid-19 infection curve has shown no signs of flattening. The current totals are as follows:

  • 374,898 confirmed cases,
  • 23,473 casualties.
