In a decree published today, Rio de Janeiro city hall allowed fully-vaccinated citizens to enter gyms without using face masks. The piece of legislation states that vaccination requirements affect all people aged between 15 and 59.

On November 12, city officials kept masks mandatory for indoor spaces and public transportation, but suspended all other Covid restrictions for commercial venues. Taxis, buses, and ride-hailing services can now operate using air-conditioning instead of open windows. “It’s all clear, you can switch on the AC!” said Mayor Eduardo Paes.
