Not really, according to the Global Innovation Index, published annually by Cornell University, INSEAD, and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Brazil sits in the ranking’s 69th position.
Our country doesn’t fare well even when compared to other Latin American economies, lagging behind countries like Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, and Uruguay. If creativity is not enough to warrant innovation, what might Brazil be lacking?

Leclerc is one of the creators of Rio.Futuro, a conference that unites startups, companies, and academics to discuss the impacts of technology on business and society in general.
