Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour may be the biggest pop phenomenon of the moment — and the singer’s three concerts in Rio de Janeiro offered a perfect snapshot of how climate change could affect the entertainment industry.
- On Friday, Taylor Swift’s first performance, a 23-year-old fan died after going into cardiac arrest. After waiting for hours in the scorching heat (over 41 degrees Celsius), the fan fainted during the second song of the set. At one point, the singer stopped the show to hand out water to the fans.
