Brazilian stock market gets a fear gauge
B3, the operator of the São Paulo stock exchange, and S&P Global on Tuesday launched a new index to measure market volatility. It is a Brazilian version of the S&P 500 VIX, commonly called the “fear index” because it tracks investors’ appetite for a type of financial instrument that offers protection against sharp market swings.
