Brazil’s economy through the eyes of CEOs
Brazilian CEOs are more optimistic about their country’s short-term economic fortunes than their global counterparts, says PwC’s new Global CEO Survey. According to the report, 56 percent of Brazilian business leaders believe the economy will accelerate over the next 12 months, compared with 45 percent of the global average.
Looking inward. Brazilian CEOs are less optimistic about their own companies: 52 percent are very or extremely confident about the results they will achieve in the next 12 months, down from 60 percent last year. For the next three years, that figure dropped from 67 to 62 percent.
- Still, the numbers are much higher than the global average, which is 37 percent for the next 12 months and 49 percent for the next three years.
