Scoop: The Brasília insurrection could have happened in December
The January 8 riots could have happened a month earlier, far-right blogger Oswaldo Eustáquio tells The Brazilian Report’s Amanda Audi. One of the insurrection’s organizers, Mr. Eustáquio is currently in Mexico dodging three arrest warrants.
- Mr. Eustáquio has tried to distance himself from the January 8 events as police go after rioters (more below). Still, he admitted to talks about a similar move before the transition of power — which may have had different consequences.
