After London debacle, Bolsonaro to open UN debates
Trailing in the polls, President Jair Bolsonaro took a risky move by stepping away from the country for trips to London, where he attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, and New York, to open the UN General Assembly debates today.
Swing and miss. In London, one could say Mr. Bolsonaro failed to accomplish any goal of showing international credibility and capacity to galvanize supporters. The British press, from left to right, lambasted him for turning his trip into a political rally.
