Whoever doesn’t want to work, stay at home, damn!” That was President Jair Bolsonaro’s response to reporters when asked about the need to reopen the economy. “Even bears have a deadline to hibernate. We cannot hibernate at home. There will come a point where hungry people will take to the streets,” said Mr. Bolsonaro. On Tuesday, 881 Brazilians died of Covid-19 — a record in daily deaths. So far, 12,400 deaths have been confirmed in Brazil.
