All foreigners barred from entering Brazil

After restricting the entry of only foreign nationals from specific countries in Europe and Asia (as well as South America), the Brazilian government has now effectively closed its land and air borders to all foreigners.

The move, published in today’s Federal Register, is valid for 30 days.

Previous exceptions to the rule, as explained in our March 20 Daily Briefing, which include foreigners with family members in Brazil, still apply.
