According to the latest coronavirus update from Brazil’s Health Ministry, the country recorded 674 new Covid-19 deaths and 13,140 new infections. The total count is now:

  • 254,220 cases;
  • 16,792 deaths.

It is always important to remember that the real numbers are probably much higher, as low testing rates don’t allow Brazil to effectively assess the extent of the pandemic in the country. According to some estimates, over 4 million people might have caught the coronavirus.
