Center-right splits as Bullrich backs Milei in Argentina
Sergio Massa’s impressive recovery in Sunday’s election changed the perception of who has the inside lane in the race for the presidency in Argentina, and the November 19 runoff between the country’s economy minister and far-right libertarian Javier Milei will likely be a photo finish.
Results. The ruling coalition candidate jumped from third to first place despite being the face of an unpopular government, while Mr. Milei stagnated since his impressive primary performance. Establishment right-winger Patricia Bullrich, meanwhile, was eliminated from the race.
