Federal Police search Bolsonaro’s Brasília home
Federal marshals are carrying out search-and-seizure warrants in former President Jair Bolsonaro’s home in Brasília and 15 other addresses this morning. They are also moving to arrest six people, including at least three aides that were close to Mr. Bolsonaro.
- The feds also reportedly seized cell phones belonging to Mr. Bolsonaro and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
What is happening? The Federal Police operation investigates whether members of the former administration falsified vaccination records, and it is part of a Supreme Court probe on the activity of so-called “digital militias,” which use social media to firehose public discourse with disinformation.
