Brazilian planemaker Embraer announced a purchase order for 15 new E195-E2 aircraft valued at USD 1.17 billion. The order will be included in the Q4 2022 backlog, which as of December last year was valued at over USD 18.2 billion — the highest since the first quarter of 2018.

Despite the shortage of electronic components and lack of skilled labor in the U.S., Embraer is likely to meet its goal of delivering 60 to 70 commercial airplanes and 100 to 110 executive jets in the 2022 fiscal year.

Since its foundation in 1969, Embraer has delivered more than 8,000 aircraft. It is the leading manufacturer of commercial jets with up to 150 seats and is the main exporter of high-value-added goods in Brazil.
