Ricardo Salles, Brazil’s embattled Environment Minister, was diagnosed with Covid-19 on February 16. According to his press services, he has a “mild fever but feels well” and will remain isolated in Brasília.
Besides Mr. Salles, President Jair Bolsonaro and another 12 current members of the cabinet caught the coronavirus:

- Secretary General: Onyx Lorenzoni
- Science and Technology: Marcos Pontes
- Comptroller General: Wagner Rosário
- Chief of Staff: Walter Braga Netto
- Communications: Fábio Faria
Moreover, former Secretary General Jorge Oliveira — currently a member of the Federal Accounts Court — and former Tourism Minister Marcelo Álvaro Antonio also tested positive for the coronavirus.
