São Paulo to hire 1,185 health professionals

The São Paulo state government will hire 1,185 health professionals to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Potential workers may apply between April 15 and 22. The following professionals will be hired to help the effort in what has become the epicenter of the outbreak in Brazil:

  • 245 doctors;
  • 210 nurses;
  • 630 nursing technicians;
  • 20 social workers;
  • 30 healthcare officials and;
  • 50 physical therapists.

Of the country’s 22,169 confirmed infections, 8,755 have been registered in the state of São Paulo.
