The São Paulo state government will hire 1,185 health professionals to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Potential workers may apply between April 15 and 22. The following professionals will be hired to help the effort in what has become the epicenter of the outbreak in Brazil:
- 245 doctors;
- 210 nurses;
- 630 nursing technicians;
- 20 social workers;
- 30 healthcare officials and;
- 50 physical therapists.
Of the country’s 22,169 confirmed infections, 8,755 have been registered in the state of São Paulo.
