A recent poll by Ideia Big Data suggests that recent turmoil has begun taking its toll on the president’s support base. Those who disapprove of the federal administration jumped from 34 to 41 percent — with 25 percent saying the government is flat-out terrible. Moreover, support amongst the upper classes is deteriorating. Among richer Brazilians, a stark 47 percent of voters rated the government as bad or terrible.
Still, it is too soon to write Mr. Bolsonaro off just yet.
