Health Ministry files request to import 20 million Covaxin doses

Health surveillance regulator Anvisa received a request from the Health Ministry to allow it to import 20 million doses of the Covaxin Covid-19 vaccine, produced by Indian laboratory Bharat Biotech.

According to the Health Ministry, 8 million Covaxin vaccines should arrive in March, but the request lacks some documentation that could cause delays. Anvisa said it will only begin evaluation once authorities submit the missing data.
