Health Ministry authorized to extend physician contracts until November

Yesterday, President Jair Bolsonaro authorized the extension of temporary physician contracts by the Health Ministry until November 30. The provisional measure refers exclusively to the 3,592 doctors working at federal hospitals in the state of Rio de Janeiro — where the local government has struggled to meet the demand for health care professionals.
