Chile records lowest rate of positive Covid tests

Chile’s Health Ministry announced the lowest rate of positive results for Covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the authorities, the current rate of positive tests of only 1.2 percent is thanks to 83 percent of adults having already been fully immunized — and booster shot rollouts have already begun.

Health Minister Enrique Paris celebrated the low number of new cases on Wednesday: 405 in 24 hours, the lowest since April 2020. With the country close to returning to normality, the Andean country has announced that none of its 346 departments are under quarantine.
