Street sweepers protest to get on Covid vaccination priority list

Urban cleaning workers in the city of São Paulo went on strike on Tuesday, interrupting garbage collection services. One group organized a protest in front of City Hall, demanding they and their colleagues be included in the state’s priority lists for Covid-19 vaccines.

Unions say they have filed requests for priority immunization to the São Paulo state government, the municipal administration, the city council, and the municipal urban cleaning authorities.
