Welcome to our Tech Roundup, where we bring you the biggest stories in technology and innovation in Brazil and Latin America. This week: A Brazilian startup offers continuous care solutions with cannabis-based products.
The Brazilian startup Cannacare, focused on continuous care and the importation of cannabis-based products, officially began operations in January this year with the mission of simplifying the lives of Brazilian patients interested in treating various ailments with cannabis-based oils, creams, and pills.
How it works. The idea was born from the personal experience of co-founder and CEO André Robles, who suffered from insomnia for 15 years. After various treatments, he found relief from the problem in medical cannabis, but not without some difficulties.
State of play. Cannacare has just raised BRL 1 million (about USD 204,000) from family and friends to expand.
