1,200-plus new deaths in Brazil

According to Brazil’s latest coronavirus update, the country has registered a recording-setting 1,262 deaths since yesterday — to a total tally of 31,199. Meanwhile, health authorities registered 28,936 new coronavirus infections, pushing the total to 555,383.
