Senate opposition whip tests positive for Covid-19

Senator Rogério Carvalho, the Workers’ Party’s whip in the Senate, tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday. On Twitter, the senator said that he is feeling well and will continue to attend the Senate’s remote sittings while recovering at home. Mr. Carvalho is the second senator to have contracted the coronavirus, after Senate President Davi Alcolumbre tested positive on March 18.
