Bolsonaro: “Whoever doesn’t want to work, stay at home, damn!”

“People have to go back to work. Whoever doesn’t want to work, stay at home, damn!” That was President Jair Bolsonaro’s response to reporters when asked about the need to reopen the economy. “Even bears have a deadline to hibernate. We cannot hibernate at home. There will come a point where hungry people will take to the streets,” said Mr. Bolsonaro. On Tuesday, 881 Brazilians died of Covid-19 — a record in daily deaths. So far, 12,400 deaths have been confirmed in Brazil.
