Coronavirus

⚠️ UPDATE: Numbers continue to fall on weekends, but not as much as before

Brazil’s Health Ministry has released its latest coronavirus update. As usual, numbers went down during the weekend — but May 10 posted the highest for a Sunday since the beginning of the pandemic. Over the past 24 hours, Brazil registered 6,760 confirmed cases and 496 new deaths.

Total figures amount to 162,699 infections and 11,123 Covid-19 casualties.

Some Brazilian cities will commence lifting social isolation in the coming week — while others have begun implementing lockdowns. According to experts, relaxing social isolation in state capitals could have dire consequences for countryside municipalities.
