Brazil’s federal government will transfer BRL 2 billion to philanthropic hospitals to help the fight against Covid-19. The money will be sent to the country’s Santa Casa institutions that are part of the public health system.
The transfer of funds must occur within 15 days and priority will be given to institutions in municipalities with penitentiaries. On April 27, reporter André Cabette Fábio explained that several organizations are pushing for the integration of Brazil’s public and private healthcare networks.
