For the 10th straight week, markets have lowered their GDP growth expectations for Brazil. The Central Bank’s Focus Report (a weekly survey with top-rated investment firms) shows forecasts went from -1.96 percent a week ago to -2.96 percent today.
A World Bank report released last week paints an even grimmer picture. In Brazil, GDP is expected to fall by 5 percent, and have a slim, 1.5-percent recovery in 2021.
