Manaus gets a third container to store bodies

The state government of Amazonas announced this Friday it will install a new refrigerated container to store cadavers. This will be the third to be set up in the state capital of Manaus to deal with the rising number of Covid-19 deaths. Last week, Mayor Arthur Virgílio Neto said the healthcare system in the Amazon city had entered collapse.

As of today, the state of Amazonas has 1,809 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 145 deaths.
