Health Ministry: BRL 4 billion for states and municipalities

The Health Ministry announced on Thursday it will offer states and municipalities BRL 4 billion (USD 780 million) in addition to monthly payments already in place. The money may be used to buy supplies, hospital beds, and to pay health care workers. Health Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta said via social media that the deposits into state and municipal funds had already been made.
