Sanitary restrictions to avoid the spread of the coronavirus have led the National Telecoms Agency (Anatel) to extend the postponement of field tests 5G technology on the 3.5 GHz spectrum, which were being carried out in Rio de Janeiro.
In a statement, the regulator says the suspension, “by no means implicates in the total shutdown of all 5G-related activities.”
