Pernambuco state records first death

Health authorities of the Northeast state of Pernambuco have confirmed the first Covid-19 related death in the state. Officials reported that the victim was an 85-year-old man from the state capital of Recife. He had a medical history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and coronary heart disease.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in Brazil has reached 48.
