The Brazilian Embassy in Kyiv announced that Brazilians and Latin Americans will be able to leave Ukraine at 10 pm today, on a train heading for Romania.
The statement, however, adds that Brazilian diplomatic officials “will have minimal conditions to provide help,” and that “citizens who decide to take the train will do so at their own risk.”
“Priority will be given to women, children, and senior citizens. Travelers who manage to depart Kyiv must be aware of the difficulties upon arrival, where there are problems with a lack of housing options, transportation to the border, as well as long lines of immigration,” said the embassy.
Ukrainian capital Kyiv has been under bombardment since the early hours of Friday, and U.S. intelligence claims the city could fall in a matter of days.
