Brazilian health authorities discuss need for Janssen booster shots

Members of Brazilian health regulator Anvisa met with representatives of Janssen on Friday to discuss the need for booster shots for those who received the lab’s vaccine.

Janssen representatives reportedly presented Anvisa’s team with the same data provided to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which recommended booster shots for citizens vaccinated with what was initially developed as a single-shot vaccine. However, the company is yet to file for Anvisa’s approval request.
