São Paulo state vaccinates 75 percent of adults with at least one dose

According to health officials, three out of every four adults in the state of São Paulo have received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine as of July 26. Roughly 26 percent are fully vaccinated.

More than 25 million first doses have been administered — with 8.3 million receiving second jabs so far. The state’s health system relies on four different immunizers, produced by Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson (the latter being a single-shot vaccine). 

The state government plans to have vaccinated its entire adult population with at least one dose by October, though recent vaccine shortages have raised doubt about the feasibility of that goal.
