São Paulo to bring forward delivery of 100 million CoronaVac vaccines

During a press conference, São Paulo Governor João Doria confirmed the state will bring forward the delivery of 100 million CoronaVac vaccines over the next month. The shipment should be concluded by August 31.

Mr. Doria added that 12,000 liters of vaccine inputs will arrive by July 14, enough to produce at least 20 million immunizers. The state administration also expects the Butantan Biological Institute to deliver 10 million vaccines next week. With the latest announcements, São Paulo could bring its vaccination schedule forward. As of today, 14.6 percent of the state’s 44 million population are fully vaccinated.
