Rio de Janeiro mayor reinfected with Covid-19

Mayor Eduardo Paes of Rio de Janeiro has caught the coronavirus for a second time, according to reports from his press office on Thursday. He took a Covid-19 test after feeling flu-like symptoms and will now remain in isolation. 

He first contracted the virus back in May 2020.Mr. Paes is the latest of a series of Brazilian authorities to be infected with the virus in recent months. Three senators and one representative have died due to complications linked to coronavirus infections.
