Cut off, Amapá state endures 2 weeks without electricity – TBR Weekly #28

The state of Amapá, in Brazil’s Amazon, has experienced power cuts for nearly 2 weeks and basic services have been affected. Fearing violence and disorder, authorities suspended Sunday’s local elections in the state. The Brazilian Report is an independent media outlet uniquely positioned to offer an insider’s view on current affairs in Brazil.
