Brazilian startups raised USD 327.2 million in venture capital rounds in August, according to innovation platform Distrito, up 78 percent from a year earlier. Sling Hub figures also show the past month as the best so far this year for tech-based companies from Latin America.
State of play. Latin American startups snagged over USD 1.2 billion in August through 79 funding rounds — 63 percent came from non-equity rounds, such as venture debt transactions and receivables securitization.
