Welcome to our Tech Roundup, where we bring you the biggest stories in technology and innovation in Brazil and Latin America. This week: Leading Latin American e-commerce platform Nuvemshop (or Tiendanube in Spanish-speaking markets) now offers payment and logistic services.
Last year, Nuvemshop — or Tiendanube, as one of the leading platforms for creating and managing e-commerce businesses in Latin America is known in Spanish-speaking markets — created a division dedicated to serving larger customers (with revenues between BRL 100,000 and BRL 10 million [USD 20,000-2 million] per month).
State of play. This month, Nuvem Pago, the platform’s payment service launched in 2021, reached BRL 1 billion in transactions and gained a new feature: a payment link for WhatsApp and social media platforms, an increasingly important sales channel for online stores. Also this month, the company launched Nuvem Envio, its new logistics business unit.
