145,328 confirmed infections, 9,897 deaths
According to the Health Ministry’s latest coronavirus update, Brazil has recorded 53,739 new Covid-19 cases and 3,568 deaths since last Friday — bringing the total figures to 145,328 and 9,897, respectively. On Friday, the country recorded the highest number of new deaths (751) since the pandemic arrived in Brazil.
4.2 million infections
