Brazilian robotics whizzkids win awards in global competition

Young Brazilians continue to show their boundless talent in the field of robotics. After a team of teenagers from São Paulo state was ranked first place in the global robotics competition FIRST Championship in 2018, over 100 homegrown students traveled to this year’s edition, bringing home several awards.

Of the ten teams which made up the Brazilian delegation at the event, held last week in Houston, Texas, six of them came away with trophies across varied categories, underlining the country’s potential in the robotics field.
