Former Environment Minister seeking a party for 2022 election

Ricardo Salles should follow President Bolsonaro in joining whatever party he will choose for himself

Lawyer Ricardo Salles, who served as Jair Bolsonaro’s Environment Minister until late in June, says that he plans to run for office next year — eyeing up a Senate seat representing São Paulo state. Mr. Salles spoke to The Brazilian Report during the Brazilian Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), in Brasília. 

He plans to run on the same ticket as President Bolsonaro and will follow his former boss in his own quest for a party to run for reelection in 2022.
