After months of refusals, the federal government has caved and is set to purchase 100 million doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.
The Health Ministry agreed to terms with the American firm on Wednesday, sources say, but no deal has been signed so far — and deliveries shouldn’t happen before June. And when it comes to the Bolsonaro administration, everything can change until the ink is dry.
Officials told The Brazilian Report that the government will also seek a deal for 38 million doses from Johnson & Johnson.
