A top court decision could expand medical marijuana access in Brazil
A five-judge panel within the Superior Court of Justice, Brazil’s second-highest judicial body, unanimously ruled in favor of three patients who wanted authorization to grow cannabis and extract its oil for use in pain relief. Per the unprecedented decision, neither of the three can face prosecution based on Brazil’s anti-drug laws.
