President Jair Bolsonaro has violated Facebook’s Covid-19 misinformation rules at least 29 times in 2021, according to fact-checking group Agência Lupa. Still, the Brazilian president has escaped any punishment from the social media giant.

Other world leaders with similar behavior were banned from the social network, or had their content flagged with a misinformation warning. Mr. Bolsonaro has so far got off scot-free, continuing to spread falsehoods to his 13.8 million followers.

Meanwhile, on Twitter and Instagram, some of Mr. Bolsonaro’s posts were hidden due to disrespecting misinformation rules.
