Football star Neymar tests positive for coronavirus

French sports daily L’Equipe has reported that Brazilian national team forward Neymar has tested positive for the coronavirus, along with his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates Ángel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes.

After losing in the Champions League final to German side Bayern Munich, Neymar and the rest of the PSG squad were sent on holiday before the 2020/21 French football season kicks off later this month.

The 28-year-old jetted off to the Spanish island of Ibiza with his family and friends, and has now tested positive for Covid-19 on his return. He will now remain quarantined for one week.
